The Plateau State Government has announced a further relaxation of the curfew in the Jos-Bukuru metropolis, citing an improvement in the security situation. As of today, Thursday, 8 August 2024, residents are now allowed to move freely between 12 noon and 6 pm daily, until further notice.
This decision was made by State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, in consultation with security agencies. The Governor assured the public that the government will continue to prioritise the well-being and safety of its citizens.
Governor Mutfwang also commended the public for their peaceful conduct during the curfew period and urged continued cooperation with security agencies to maintain the safety and security of the state.
