Acting on the report, Plateau State Commissioner of Police Emmanuel Olugbemiga Adesina directed the Area Commander Metro and the head of the Command’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Unit to deploy a team of bomb technicians. Working alongside officers from “C” Division, the Anti-Bomb Squad promptly arrived at the scene, cordoning off the area to ensure public safety.

After a thorough examination by the EOD team, the hole was deemed safe, with no explosive devices detected.

Commissioner Adesina, along with other senior officers, also conducted an on-site assessment to reassure residents of the area’s security. He expressed appreciation to Plateau State residents for their vigilance and cooperation during the investigation, urging the public to resume their daily activities without fear.

The area is safe and free of any threats to lives and properties

Adesina assured, encouraging residents to maintain their awareness and report any suspicious activities promptly.
