The Festival: The Rock International Film Festival 2023 is the first of two conference set to hold in the City of Jos, Plateau State. RIFF is not just a celebration of film festivals, it is the celebration of the power of storytelling to bring about change.
The event is carefully curated with a line up of films that delves into the hearts of Human Right issues with four days of thought provoking Cinema viewing from November 1st-4th, 2023, at the Jos National Museum Auditorium. With the projection of holding the global stage, to also be self-sustaining in the nearest future.
Themed from Human Right, with more impact, inclusive of secondary school students and tertiary institutions to lay foundations on Human Right violation with great essence which beats last years’ event according to Henry Mafulul and Amber Treasure who are Festival Moderator and Director.
What to expect: Each film has been chosen for its power to ignite conversation and inspire actions. Some remarkable individuals will be the highlight of this years’ event to grace the festival with their insights and experiences.
- Rock Awards: The Rock awards ceremony is the highlight of the event, where we will recognize the standing contributions to Human rights storytelling through film.

Success Stories: From the course of the last event, there was a huge support from government agencies like National Drug and Law Enforcement, Partnerships from Movies that Matters, National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking, Human Rights Commision, The Nigeria Police, who lended their voices to support the Film Festival last year.
After the event, last year, we pursued a human right issues on small scale. As a baby organization. We connected a lady to another organization that partnered with us last year, who was able to get justice from her abusive husband, according to Henry.Henry Samson Mafulul
The Casts & Local Contents: RIFF Film Festival encapsulates the catalog of International movies selected for the festival, shot within Jos and Abuja. Some local actors and casts were involved in the production, and directed some of the movies that will be viewed at the Jos National Museum Auditorium.
